You’ll NEVER be this young again
I hear it all the time: "I'll start on Monday," "January is perfect to ditch bad habits," or "the first of the month is the best day to start fresh." And every time, it makes me wonder – why wait? If you know a change will benefit you, why delay until an arbitrary date?
If I know my body will feel better with more movement or healthier choices, why put off starting? Imagine this: your body has no calendar, no idea what day of the week it is. Your health doesn’t know if it’s the beginning of a new year or the middle of November. What it does recognize, though, is the positive impact of every choice you make.
The truth is, the only thing you lose by waiting is the opportunity to feel better sooner. Think about it: why push off feeling good, growing stronger, or prioritizing yourself? No amount of “right timing” will magically make it easier or more convenient. You don’t need the first of the month – you just need a decision and a small step to make today different.
It might sound a little corny, but it’s true: if you want something badly enough, you’ll find a way to make it happen. You don’t wait for the “perfect time” to put energy into something you’re excited about, right? Life’s busy for everyone. We all have 24 hours in a day, but they’re not identical hours for everyone – some of us have kids, a job, family responsibilities, and endless to-do lists. But if something matters, you’ll make it work within those hours. You’ll figure out how to start small, even if it’s just five minutes at a time.
So, whether it’s a habit you want to break, a goal you want to pursue, or simply a way of feeling better, remind yourself: you can do this. Don’t wait for January, don’t wait for Monday. Just start with something simple TODAY, and let the journey build from there. Make this your time not only because the calendar says so, but because you do. FeedtheRunner in you, make yourself a priority, and see what you’re truly capable of achieving!
